21st june-4th july 2008
Sue Graham’s paintings, especially her delicate colour choices capture the somewhat mystical quality of the North Norfolk coast. Her works are quintessentially English.
Vast expanse of sand, tidal mudflats, salt marshes, sea lavender, wet sand and the dunes. These are the ingredients that combine to form a romantic, yet accurate, diary of her en Plien Air excursions.
Sue Graham is a winner of the Tregoning Award at Derby Museum & Art Gallery Open Exhibition, and the Ellis Prize at the LSA Annual Exhibition 2005 she is currently artist of the year for Leicestershire.
This terrific show contains 15 paintings, all oil on paper and canvas including Old Hunstanton and the Holkham area.
